COVID-19 Information
These classes will institute physical distancing to the greatest extent possible. Facial coverings are mandatory at all times, temperature checks are administered upon entry, and sanitization procedures have been enacted. Failure to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines will result in removal from the class without a refund.
Tight Rope - A Peter Brook Inspired Workshop
Peter Brook is one of the most renowned theatre and film directors. His work as a director has earned him the colloquial title of "greatest living theatre director," and he has won two Tony awards, an Emmy, and an Olivier Award in his career thus far. He has worked with the Royal Shakespeare theatre company for many years, and is well known for his original, unconventional, and revolutionary techniques (e.g. the Tightrope).
This class is designed to help the actor work and remain "In the Moment”- to create honest and realistic theatre. Learn of the renowned director, Peter Brook, who helps his actors achieve great performances by putting them through a special exercise he developed. This class requires full physical, mental, and emotional engagement.
Come barefoot, emotionally available, and wear play clothes (comfortable, non-cumbersome, and loose).
Age: Mature 16 - college age
